 Wh
en did you seriously start learning music?
I was born & brought up in a family of musicians & singers. So i was blessed to live in a musical world from early childhood itself.  I remember my first competition when i was in third standard. After passing out from school I finally opted to study Ganabhooshanam  in RLV college Tripunithura. After holding degree in classical music, i have done Degree & PG. During my college days i got many prizes at University, interuniversity & national level. Meanwhile i started performing Kachearies, stage shows & most importantly cassette works. After completing my studies i joined the Administration Dept of Lakshmi Hospital with the hope of continuing my musical career parallely .But when it became difficult to balance between the two. I opted to continue with my musical talents & gave up the job at Lakshmi Hospital in 2006. I regret   that I lost my seven valuable years working there and now seriously concentrating in my musical career& studies.

Born in a family of musicians what addition advantages you got?
Being a part of a musical family, I got an advantage.  I had the opportunity to  hear& learn music from childhood itself.  Apart from that my first teacher in music was  Sri V.N.Rajan my fathers elder brother who supported me   through all this years.

Every one wants to remember the first event in his life? Which one is yours?
An immemorial event in my life is my meeting with the legendary music director Sri.Devarajan Master. He dispensed his valuable two hours for teaching me one of his songs. As i started earlier my first guru Sri V.N.Rajan who has given  me  basics in karnatic music and helped me to develop a taste in the same.  Then with each stage performances, cassette works and track singing    previous experience helped me to improve my studio work,    voice modulation, pronunciation and style of singing.   N.P.Ramaswamy sir gave more light in the field of classical music.   In the field of light music Sri P.R.Mural helped me to improve myself.  I got classes from Sri Mohankumar Hindusthani vocal also.

Who were your gurus in music and what different nodes you learned from each?
I have sung many number of songs fast & melodies in the Malayalam  & Telungu films. Each song is a learning lesson for me and every song helped me to improve my self. It has given me an entry into the film field.

You are waiting for the release of the New Telungu and Malayalam movies? What are your expectations?
I am waiting for the release of the Telungu movies Nijum and Savi Savi Nirappu and Malayalam movie Police Protection where I have given voice for some of the songs. My expectations are high.

Which are the competitions you participated at state and national level? What you learned from each competition?
I have participated at School and College level competitions and later came first in light music competitions at the state and national levels for three consecutive years from 1997. More than that I have given 1000 stage performances and with each performance I became matured.

You have tried your voice for ghazal? What is your experience?
For Singing Ghazal, knowledge of language is must.  Sruthy, Lyric ex-pression all are very important in it.I think i am doing justice to it with my hard work and dedication.

Which are the albums for which you have given your Voice?
Devotional Albums
GanapathySongs(Sahasrakalasham),RthukalVeluthachan,Thirunadayil,Ambaadi,Malayatoor Songs....etc.

Which are the new projects you have undertaken?
New Albums
Neelakiliyea, SneahaMalhaar,.Aathmaraagam,OruManjuThullyPolea.....Etc .

What is your experience when you sung for   FM Radio and Teleserials?
For programmes in FM radio, we have to prepare for each and every programmes literally because it is the oldest form of media and it still didn’t loose its creditability and having a large number of audience. This helped me to improve the theoretical knowledge about music.  I have committed mostly to musical programmes in radio and done Akashadooth for Kochi FM.  Tele Serial experience helped to better my creativity when a fresh song is being handled. I have sung the title songs for many serials such as Swararaagam and Ennunni Kannan Urangan.
